Project Description:
The center of State government in Hawaii operates from an A-1 A-Lectrician electrical project. This extensive renovation project required a demanding completion schedule to accommodate the State of Hawaii's Legislative session. The electrical scope of work included the refurbishment of an existing generator and installation of new standby generator for emergency power system, installation of an addressable fire alarm system with Class A wiring and ADA compliant devices, installation of energy efficient light fixtures controlled by a programmable low voltage lighting control system, dimming lighting control system, and parking lights. Telephone and data cabling utilizing CAT 5 cables in cable trays were installed to the telephone backboards; fiberoptic trunk cables and patch panels interconnecting the backboards were installed by others. The raised floor Computer Rooms were equipped with multiple UPS units, underfloor smoke detection, Halon fire suppression, Wet Detection and electrical power cutoff switches. A paging system was integrated into the intercom and public address system. Electrical, telephone and data connections to the pre-wired modular furniture workstation panels were completed as part of this project.
